So I have spent all weekend researching on this forum and others, how to remove about:blank. I have downloaded almost every spyware app out there and tried them in different combinations - nothing has worked. Everytime I reboot - the problem still exists. (CWShredder, Spybot, Adaware, HijackThis, Stinger, Pc-cillin, Sophos anti-virus, SpyDoctor...)

Also, and I can only assume this is a related issue, as it started happening after I tried fixing about:blank a number of times - If I try to start my machine up in normal mode (not safemode) - after about 2 minutes, the system hangs.
Ctrl-Alt-Del does nothing and I have to hardboot to shut down.

Any help would be appreciated. I work from home and my (remote) tech support guy has been working with me all day. I am losing a lot of precious time due to system instability. :(

Here is my most recent HijackThis log:

Tried this and many other suggestions.
And just as you might expect - it's ALL still there.

Additionally - I uninstalled IE, deleted associated registry files and the Internet Explorer folder under Program Files.... And I am still getting the same dang registry hits when I run any of the following programs:
Registry Cleaner
SpyBot
Adaware
SpyDoctor
CWShredder
HijackThis
etc...

Here is my latest HijackThis log after rebooting and running app:
