I know that AOL dialup browser is just a 'front-end' for Internet Explorer, but can I do away with the AOL interface entirely and use Firefox instead? What about email.... can I access AOL mail via Firefox?

regards,

You can browse with any browser you want. Just minimize AOL's software once you're connected and use your computer normally.

I don't know about email. I think you have to use their software for that.

I've heard that the Netscape e-mail program can be used to read AOL e-mail (I never had any luck getting it to work though).
