I have posted a problem and nobody answered. So, I wish to know, what problem must be to catch someone attention? I know, all we have many things to do, but meantime I saw many posting with quick answer and many posting without answer. So, all I wish this time is just to know, how big trouble or problem must be, to get answer? Thank all of you specialists for no answer. Is perhaps a problem there with no perfect language? Anyway, thank a lot.
Regard to all

As I mentioned before, have one question. I set Internet explorer manually to about blank, so when I run adaware, it find a possibly hijacking attempt in registry key. When I delete that key and run adaware again, all seemed to be normal, but Internet explorer start page is changed now to Microsoft home page. After setting Internet explorer again to about blank and starting adaware , it find a possibly hijacking attempt in registry again and so on. Is that normal and should I add that key to ignored items?Logfile of HijackThis v1.97.7

Scorpio007,

Please be patient. There is a pinned thread explaining the delay in getting answers. :)

Is perhaps a problem there with no perfect language?

Of course not. :) Although I think the fact that your log contains some non-English terms that are not understood by everyone might make it just a bit more difficult to determine immediately whether there is something wrong with your computer or not. This, of course, does NOT mean that your log will be ignored because of that! Just a little more patience. Help is on the way! :)

Scorpio007,

I'm very sorry you have waited so long, only to be given erroneous information by someone who, although trying to help, is not qualified to give that help. Your log is NOT clean.

In the Running Processes, you have this line:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\lssas.exe

That is a bad file, indicative of a worm or virus. The correct file name is lsass.exe (only one s after the l).

Please go to Trend Micro and Panda Active Scan and perform online scans. Allow the programs to remove all that they find. (See links in my signature below). Reboot after each scan. Also, do an online Trojan scan at Sygate (link below). Allow the program to remove anything it may find. You may have to allow Sygate to have access through your firewall in order to perform the scan, or you may need to temporarily disable your firewall. If so, be certain you re-enable it after the scan. Reboot after the scan.

There is also a free downloadable program from McAfee that will remove specific viruses that are on its list, which is updated frequently: http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

Reboot and post a fresh HijackThis log into this same thread.

Scorpio007,
First thing to do is ...

Reconfigure Windows Explorer to show Hidden Files:
Open the Windows Explorer Folder Options - View [tab]:

Scroll down to the "Files and Folders" section.
Select: "Display the contents of system folders".

Scroll down to the "Hidden Files and Folders" section.
Select: "Show hidden files and folders", Ok the prompt
Uncheck: "Hide file extensions for known file types"
Uncheck: "Hide protected operating system files" Ok the Prompt, click Apply

Click the "Apply to all Folders" button. Close Windows Explorer.

Next:

Close all open windows, except for HijackThis place a check in each of the following:
Then click "Fix checked".

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

Then reboot, on restart, restart in Safe Mode (see "How To" below)

Start | Run (type) "%temp%" (no quotes)
Completely delete the entire contents of that "temp" folder.

Open Windows Explorer locate and delete the following:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\altsvc.exe <--this file
C:\WINDOWS\system32\lssas.exe <--this file
C:\WINDOWS\system32\msthost.exe <--this file
C:\WINDOWS\system32\service.exe <--this file (note the spelling)
Note: do not delete > C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe

After the above, reboot, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log ...

so when I run adaware, it find a possibly hijacking attempt in registry key.

Hi,
Your log looks clean now ... good job!

Last Step:
1) Empty the Recycle Bin

2) Resize your browser cache, then rebuild the cache folders ...
How To: Delete the Internet Explorer Temporary Internet Files
http://www.mvps.org/...02/delcache.htm

3) "Flush System Restore" (see "How To" below)
Basically turn off System Restore, reboot, run a full (updated) BitDefender scan, reboot and turn System Restore back on and create a new Restore Point.
