Edit: Extra Topic deleted... Please stick to 1 Topic per computer... Read and follow the instructions from the SWI Support Robot...

So,

Everytime I turn on the computer, log into windows it continuously makes loading noises and the the loading bar on the keybord is flashing for about 5 mins.

I think I have viruses on here and that my security (Norton Antivirus) is being played by these trogans/virus's.

Also! This use to happen alot, and still occurs now. Sometimes when I would click on a link the window opens but it freezes in mid loading, you cant close the window, you can carry on what you are doing but it says its up and running on the taskbar. when I alt+f4, Ctrl+w it, it still is not going, when i bring up the task manager it says that window is running and does not appear on the task mager applications.

Also, When Norton gives u brief messages it comes up with a box in the bottom right nad corner (for people who use Norton you will know what i am on about) well, sometimes, this comes up and goes so fast you can only just see that its their, I mean it, you cant view it because of the speed it moves.

Highjackthis log says;

Hello,

Print this topic it will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps.

Optional - LIMEWIRE
LimeWire: Software that brings ads to your computer. Such ads may or may not be targeted, but are "injected" and/or popup, and are not displayed within the form of an ad-sponsored application. Some Adware may hijack the ads of other companies, replacing them with its own.
Use Add/Remove program applet to remove. Your call if you want to keep it.
You have other alternatives. http://www.spywarein...m/articles/p2p/
  • Close all open Explorer windows and browsers
  • Run HijackThis
  • Click on the Scan button and when complete
  • Put a check beside all of the items listed below
  • Click on the "Fix Checked" button
  • When complete and all files removed, close the application.
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UserFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -u
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AOL_Demo] C:\Applications\Tool\AOL Demo\DSGDemo.exe
O4 - Startup: LimeWire On Startup.lnk = C:\Program Files\LimeWire\LimeWire.exe
<- optional see my note.
O4 - Startup: Reboot.exe

Delete this folder if you have removed LimeWire.
C:\Program Files\LimeWire\

Restart the computer to complete the fix.

Submit a fresh HijackThis log and let me know what problem remains.

Hey!

Thanks for taking the time to look, I have a few questions I would like to ask before I do what you ask.

reboot.exe

Is that the reboot to the computer?

The other stuff, is that seriouse stuff that has infected my computer?

What gave you an infection I do not know.

This start AOL demo at each start up. If you still want that do not fix it.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AOL_Demo] C:\Applications\Tool\AOL Demo\DSGDemo.exe

Unless you know what this does fix it. It's not what you need to boot your computer.
O4 - Startup: Reboot.exe
I suspect that your computer reboots at every start up.

If you fix these items and want to restore them then follow these steps.

Open HijackThis. In the bottom right click on Config | Backups then highlight an entry and click on restore

Your on a laptop so it would be difficult to change the keyboard.

As for the issue let me see what this will reveal.

Download this file - combofix.exe

and save it to your desktop (Important). Also save the below command in Notepad as a text file so that you can copy/paste in safe mode.

"%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe"

Boot into safe mode by tapping the F8 key just before Windows starts to load.

go to start --> run and copy/paste in the following:

"%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe"

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Save it and post that log in your next reply.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

In your next post, please include
  • new hijackthis log
  • combofix log
*use separate posts to ensure the logs don't get cut off!

Try this fix.

; Save this text in bold as Fix.reg. Make sure the "Save as type:" is "All Files (*.*)" and save it to your desktop.

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\vds]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\vds]
@="Service"

; Double-click on Fix.reg. When it asks you to merge the information to the registry click Yes.

How is it now?

Nothing suspicious was fond on that log.

I would replace the keyboard to find out if this is a hardware problem.

As for the Messages from Norton. Does it look like a yellow box approx 1.5 inch that goes up and down?

This is a message that a worm as been trying to invade the computer and Norton has blocked it. I get it also, but I can read the message.

Let me know what other problem remains.
