      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

Hello,

Print this topic it will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps.

Your log is clean. We will deal with your wife's issue.

Open the Control Panel in *Add/Remove Programs* look for the following

Think-Adz Search Assistant

Enhanced Ads by Think-Adz

Surfsidekick

Oin

Yazzle by Oin

YazzleActiveX By OIN

Purityscan by Oin

Cowabanga by OIN

outerinfo

and any other programs you didn't install or don't recognize - if your not sure please ask first

If found, click on it and click remove.

Do not restart the computer

Then, download and run this OiUninstaller.exe uninstaller: follow the instructions on this page.

http://www.outerinfo.com/howto.html

=*=

Please set your system to show all files;

To delete the files/folders in the next steps, you may need to show hidden Files/Folders: How to.

At the end of the fix you can return the files to hidden status if you want..

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

O2 - BHO: 0 - {9B7E3521-2EB2-4EE2-608C-CABEEADEE188} - C:\Program Files\Messenger\lavuma.dll

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C37E6846-81F7-D92C-D97B-89ADDBCD7596} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\axqxcz.dll

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {F28D77CD-0CF0-48AD-A13D-225131D70017} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\dewsvgks.dll

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Pxruiiqh] "C:\Documents and Settings\Krystal\Application Data\?ecurity\??rvices.exe"

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Ncao] "C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\SSEMBL~1\msiexec.exe" -vt yazb

O16 - DPF: {DD8C9372-35FD-4F7D-8CE4-909ABCFAB2C5} - ms-its:mhtml:file://c:\\nores.mht!http://adxtend.net/code/chm/xpre.chm::/xpreload.ocx

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Delete these files/folders in bold.

Files

C:\DOCUME~1\Krystal\LOCALS~1\Temp\!update.exe <- while in this \Temp folder delete all the file in it, not the folder.

C:\Program Files\Messenger\lavuma.dll

C:\WINDOWS\System32\axqxcz.dll

C:\WINDOWS\System32\dewsvgks.dll

Folders

C:\Documents and Settings\Krystal\Application Data\?ecurity\ <- look for security

C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\SSEMBL~1\

Restart the computer to reset the registry.

Download Dr.Web CureIt to the desktop:

ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/drweb-cureit.exe

  • Doubleclick the drweb-cureit.exe file and Allow to run the express scan
  • This will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it. This is only a short scan.
  • Once the short scan has finished, mark the drives that you want to scan.
  • Select all drives. A red dot shows which drives have been chosen.
  • Click the green arrow at the right, and the scan will start.
  • Click 'Yes to all' if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
  • When the scan has finished, look if you can click next icon next to the files found: check.gif
  • If so, click it and then click the next icon right below and select Move incurable as you'll see in next image:
    move.gif
This will move it to the %userprofile%\DoctorWeb\quarantaine-folder if it can't be cured. (this in case if we need samples)
  • After selecting, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list
  • Save the report to your desktop. The report will be called DrWeb.csv
  • Close Dr.Web Cureit.
  • Reboot your computer!! Because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.
  • After reboot, post the contents of the log from Dr.Web you saved previously in your next reply. You can use Notepad to open the DrWeb.cvs report.

Include a fresh HijackThis log for review.

Let me know what problem persist.

p.s. I only want to see your wife's log for now.
