      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

Please help me removing smitfraud c.coreservice

4 posts in this topic

Hi and thank you for reading this.

Have issue with Spybot detecting smitfraud c.coreservice but not being able to remove.

Problem manifests itself by popping up new browsers often from search page. I google "dogs" and get google results then I might get ebay page with results searching for dogs and then other various pages.

It's really annoying but most frustrating as I can't remove. Please see hijackthis log below.

Thanks to all who assist in advance, I really appreciate it.

Andy

Download this file - combofix.exe

and save it to your desktop (Important). Also save the below command in Notepad as a text file so that you can copy/paste in safe mode.

"%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe"

Boot into safe mode by tapping the F8 key just before Windows starts to load.

go to start --> run and copy/paste in the following:

"%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe"

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Save it and post that log in your next reply.

Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

In your next post, please include

  • new hijackthis log
  • combofix log

*use separate posts to ensure the logs don't get cut off!
