I HAVE HAD A STALKER FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS. I HEARD ON THE NEWS THE OTHER DAY THAT THERE IS A WAY TO TAP INTO SOMEONE'S CELL PHONE WITHOUT HAVING TO HAVE THE CELL PHONE TO DOWNLOAD SOME SPY PROGRAM. APPARENTLY THRU THE AIRWAVES THEY CAN TAP INTO YOUR CELL PHONE & NOT ONLY LISTEN TO EVERY CONVERSATION A PERSON HAS, BUT YOUR CELL PHONE CAN ALSO BE USED AS A SPEAKER TO HEAR WHAT IS GOING ON WHERE YOU ARE, CONVERSATIONS YOUR HAVING WITH SOMEONE IN PERSON, NOT ON THE PHONE, WHEN YOUR CELL PHONE IS NEAR. I HEARD THAT IT CAN BE TURNED OFF, AND STILL WORK AS A SPEAKER.
IS THAT FOR REAL?????
ALSO, IF IT IS, HOW CAN A PERSON FIND OUT IF ITS HAPPENING TO THEM???

So possibly it's possible, by state agencies. By individuals, debatable. Is it possible to tell? Probably not. If you want privacy buy a second-hand cellphone, pay as you go, and don't give out the number to anyone you don't trust. Swap the phone regularly. But most importantly, if you believe this:

tell the police. Stalking is a crime.

thank you jedi!!! the police refuse to do anything because this guy is weathly & talks his way out of it. i need to know for sure if he would have access to doing something like this. Anyway I can find ou????

It's debatable whether this is even possible. Would he have access if it were possible, well, money can buy you a lot. As for how you would find out, I guess your battery would drain really quickly if it were being accessed remotely, and if you remove the battery when not using the phone any remote access would be impossible. But this is my best advice to you if you are worried:

buy a second-hand cellphone, pay as you go, and don't give out the number to anyone you don't trust. Swap the phone regularly.

That's really the best I can say, maybe someone else has more info than me.

In my opinion,unless the stalker has access to your cellphone,you don't have to worry.Either way,report to the police.Stalking is a crime.
