Lately I've fond my cookies have been getting deleted by themseleves. Each day I have to re enter my user name and password for each site I vist instead of it remembering it. I don't know if it it spyware or my fire wall or just my Internet Explorer settings. I have Windows XP and Comodo FireWall. Any suggestions?

Change it to medium.

Then restart the computer.

Change it back to Medium High and restart the computer again to reset the registry.

Any change?

If you have ZoneAlarm the cookies may be deleted everyday. Check the Custom setting under Privacy.

No that didn't seem to do it...

I don't think it's anything with my IE settings because it just started happening, I never touched any of the settings.

What security software are you using and active.

Did you check all the settings on these programs, change then to accept all etc..

I know and have Norton, and ZoneAlarm. may be I can help further.

I have no experience with Comodo, check the help file see what you can find about cookies.

If still need help to find out if this program could be the culprit check their support site.

I don't think Comodo is causing the problems, I couldn't find anything relating Comodo with cookies.

I'm thinking maybe some Spyware is causing it. Could you give me some steps for spyware removal? I still have all the programs from the last time I cleaned it (Hijack This, AVG, ect.)

Let's start with this one.

Download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot (in case it asks to reboot), it should open a log, combofix.txt.
Post this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthis log.

Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt - unless I ask you to.

I went to run and copied and pasted "C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\At1.job" and this came up:

Windows cannot open this file:

File: At1.job

To open this file, Windows needs to know what program created it. Windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select it from a list of programs on your computer.

What would you like to do?
