Hi I'm new here and i hope this is in the correct forum section...

anyway, I ran spysweeper last night on the home PC and customized the scans to look for rootkits and it came back with ufp kidwatch.

It was located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\shared\qbackup\{a bunch of numbers and letters}.qbi

I don't know if it's an ad for the program when I installed Norton AV 2007? I know that I've never installed anything like this and if it could possibly have been remotely sent to my PC. When I googled it, I found that there is a program called kidwatch, but I don't know it got on my PC.

on another note, I've got my desktop hardwired to the wireless linksys router. Is this suffer from the same intrusion vulnerability as a PC using a wireless connection?

I've got the Router's Firewall enabled and I've turned off the SSID (My wife runs here laptop with the wireless).

Thanks,
Jerold
