Last night I was working on a friend's computer. It is an Asus Netbook 1005HA with Windows XP Service Pack 3 installed on it. I ran HijackThis and came back with a very strange log entry that I still have yet to been able to find any information on. Well I decided what the heck delete it and learn from my mistake if something terrible goes wrong. Since, my friend wanted me to just reformat it anyways and didn't need anything off of it. Well to my surprise everything went back to normal and everything is working great again. Below is what the log entry looked like so if anyone could shine some light on this I would be grateful.

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Nmaliwelohaw] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\nesbdla.dll",Startup

EDIT: I moved your post as you do not require help with a malware issue.

There is an excellent chance that the file you deleted was only one aspect of an infection and it will be back... It would be a good idea for your friend to read the FAQ and post logs in Malware Removal...
