Has anyone had personal experience with this software? It has positive reviews on many sites, but cannot find any user reviews, which makes me suspicious.

Never heard of it before but I can't recommend buying a program which is apparently a firewall, for $19, developed by an HR company GlobeSoft.
There are first-rate free firewalls available.
If you have Vista or Windows 7 the built-in Microsoft firewall is fine.
If you have XP, Commodo is free and very effective.
Install a good free antivirus with realtime shields - I recommend Avast and you are very well protected.
