My computer has been working very slowly lately, so I ran a Full System Virus Scan using McAfee AntiVirus. McAfee told me than my computer was secure, but in the Security Report, I was told that I had 2 Trojans, 2714 Tracking Cookies, and 5 Potentially Unwanted Programs. That sounds seriously messed up to me. Is there something wrong, or are all of these normal?

Hi, lisasctt4, if I were you, I would install SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebites Anti Mal ware. They are both free. run a Google search for a download site or go to www.download.com and download them there free. Then update both programs after installing them and run a scan with one program and then the other. That will find and destroy all kinds of Trojans and Spy ware and Mal ware on your system. It works fine for me,try them out, good luck. Lino1

Trojans are virus's but there are some "Good" trojans. I would verify your computers status by downloading AVG Free Anti-Virus (I find it personally better then McAfee). Scan it and make sure and then download CCleaner. I use this all the time, It's a program that you can use that deletes useless items such as internet history, recycle bin space, cookies, Etc. All of its free

AVG: www.avg.com/us-en/homepage
CCleaner: www.piriform.com/ccleaner

AVG is no better than McAfee.
We recommend the free version of Avast.
