Sometimes I leave the forum and do not remember where I have been exactly. Is there a function to mark the exact place ?

The easiest way is to set a bookmark with your browser.

Here in the forum if you subscribed to a topic (set "Watch this topic") then you can select "Settings" from the dropdown menu under your name at the top right of this page.
In Settings, click the Forum tab and then "Manage watched topics". You will see a list of all the topics you are watching.

I am Sorry - i will try to explain.

Some time ago, it happened to me on an other forum. I replied to a topic. A day later, I wanted continue reading. But in the meantime there were quite a lot of other entries and it cost me quite a while and effort to find the headline and the topic again.
How do I get back to that position ? Do you have a tip? At least in principle ?

Merci beaucoup.

All browsers have the ability to set a bookmark when you are on a site, and enable you to go back to the bookmark later.
What browser are you using?

While looking at the topic:
In Internet Explorer, press Alt, then 'Favorites', and 'Add to favorites..'.
You can see all the favorites you've saved by Alt > Favorites > Organize favorites..

The procedure is similar but slightly different in Chrome or Firefox.

In addition to the browser bookmarks ('favorites'), forums give you the ability to follow a topic, as I explained above. In Invision forums like this one, look for the 'Watch this topic' button above the frame. If you are following a topic, then when someone replies to it you will get an email with the address of the topic.

Forums using other software will have something similar.

Hi -
This info from cnm should notify you to the thread if there were any answers.
If not, then Right click the post# at the top R.H.S. and select "Copy Shortcut".
Note this is Post #5 and can be saved as a shortcut.
This can be saved at any text editor or Favorites area -

Thank You -
