Mar 09 2012 - "Owners of 2 models of Lenovo's Thinkcentre all-in-one desktops have been warned that some of the PCs have been spontaneously combusting, leading to a global recall. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warned that a defect in an internal component in the power supply of Thinkcentre M70z and M90z models can overheat and pose a fire hazard... there have been a reports of one fire incident and one smoke incident in the North America. No injuries have been reported. Lenovo told The INQUIRER that it is voluntarily recalling 160,000 Thinkcentre M70z and M90z all-in-one desktop PCs sold worldwide between May 2010 and January 2012... Only some of the M70z and M90z computers are affected. Consumers will need to check the serial number on their computer with Lenovo to determine if it is subject to this recall. Details are listed at the Lenovo support web site*."
