Now if you submit an executable file (.exe, .com. .scr, etc), VirusTotal will not only scan it for malware using many antivirus programs but will also run it in a sandbox and tell you what changes it makes.
There is also a list of links to other sandboxes where the behavior of an executable can be analyzed.

Sounds like a pretty handy addition, particularly if you want a suspicious file checked out.
