Posted 22 September 2012 - 05:20 PM

I'm not entirely sure about the depth of what has been compromised because I'm a little paranoid at the moment, but it definitely seems like all my attempts at changing passwords and such have been in vain. I tried to follow the directions to the best of my ability. I haven't noticed anything extraordinarily different recently, web browsing has been a little sluggish, but nothing too obvious.

I'm using Windows 7 at the moment. I believe this issue started a couple weeks ago but kind of bloomed today. Before coming here I previously used MBAM, I decided to post the log from that time since it seemed to remove files the scan I did today didn't. I also posted the log from the scan I did today after the first. I had also run a Spybot scan beforehand, I posted what it detected as the first thing.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello buckylou.

You are missing Windows 7 SP 1, and it appears that you once had a tool that attempts to bypass authentication (and was possibly infected).

Please download WVCheck from http://artellos.com/.../click.php?id=7. Save it on your Desktop.
  • Double click WVCheck.exe.
  • As indicated by the prompt, This program can take a while depending on your hard drive space.
  • Once the program is done, copy the contents of the notepad file as a reply.

When was the last time your game and/or email account was hacked? You say "it bloomed today". Does that mean multiple times today? What email are you using? What game?
