Yes, you can subscribe to a thread. But how many noobs post a malware help request and don't get attention for days? Are they supposed to check back every few hours?
I'd like to see original postings automatically be sent to the user's email address to confirm that their post was successful, reminder of current wait times, and a link to their post.
Likewise, I would like to receive an email, by default, that a reply has posted to my request.
This feature would reduce some of the chatter/confusion and increase the user participation resulting in more resolved threads.

Those are things you can set in your Profile. Click your name, top right, and select 'My Settings' from the dropdown menu.
We track all topics in Malware Removal and PC Troubleshooting and reply within two days.
