When you are preparing a post, you are in the editor.

The editor has two modes. The icon in the top left hand corner of the frame toggles between them.

The two modes:

  • WYSIWG mode - Has formatting buttons.  It displays HTML.  It is the usual one to use, since the posts are actually in HTML.
  • BBCode mode - Buttons are grayed out.  It displays plain text and allows you to manually enter BB Code tags.  The editor attempts to translate to HTML - not always exactly right but pretty well done.  You can tweak until it looks right in the Preview pane.

If you are copying from the browser screen use WYSIWYG.

If you are pasting raw BB Code material that contains BB Code tags, use BBCode mode.

If you see no Preview button, Use Full Editor for Preview and file attachment functions.
