Cisco has been buying a number of security companies, which has made its relatively tiny security business one of its fastest growing in the past two years. OpenDNS uses 'predictive intelligence' to block malware, botnets and phishing threats that antivirus and firewalls -- miss. Cisco was part of a group that invested $35 million in OpenDNS in May last year..."

Hi. Thanks for sharing that info. I actually have a query about Cisco and was searching if someone had already started a thread for routhers & switches. Then I saw your thread and was thinking that you might know something about Cisco Switches. Our company would like to replace our current switch and an IT staff suggested during the meeting to go for a refurbished unit since this is more affordable. Our GM asked me (I'm her Exec. Asst.) to search around the web for some reviews on Cisco refurbished switches before we finally decide to ask our Purchasing Department to source for some suppliers. I found one company who offers Cisco products...please curvature.com. I'm trying to get other similar firms so I can have a better idea and comparison. However, I'm wondering if you or anyone here can share their thoughts on getting a refurbished Cisco switch? Thanks.
