Where do I go to get support for dealing with a dying external hard drive?

I purchased http://www.bestbuy.c...p?skuId=9062073 and connected it, but no success.


any tips?

What tells you that it is dying??  If it is truly failing, the next step depends on how important the information on the drive is...  If it is very important, there are services which can recover data even from drowned or otherwise battered drives, but they are quite expensive...  Also, what type of drive is it??  If it is a SSD, the recovery options may be much more limited than if it is a conventional drive...

Return the one you bought from bestbuy and get one of these because these are reviewed by experts. Always buy stuff after reading reviews about them.
