Hello

It's a while since I've used Ccleaner so installed Ccleaner  V5.35.6210 (64-bit)

( Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit)

Ccleaner is included on Rocket Grannie's Security Analysis  list.

It did not install without error for me, so wonder if others have had any issues.

Any thoughts / Observations would be appreciated.

Hello WhaleBat.

As far as is known, the version 5.53 does not yet exist. The latest version of the program is 5.35 and is completely trustworthy.

The problem that happened was with the version 5.33.

You may want to read the articles from the links below for further information about the recent CCleaner APT security incident:

Hello Android 8888

Thanks for the reply.

When I installed Ccleaner  V5.35.6210 (64-bit), I got a message box "Error opening file for writing: "

I clicked ignore, installation completed but I don't know what was ignored.

Android 8888

It's been one of those days !!!

It was a silly mistake on my part  , I overlooked I'd scheduled a scan and had tried to install  Ccleaner V5.35.6210 (64-bit)

With the scan running in the background,  needless to say I got the message box "Error opening file for writing: "

Uninstalling / re-installing after the scan proved to be error free and successful.

Thanks for your heads up on Ccleaner V5.35.6210 (64-bit).

WhaleBat
