You can access the main page via one or more of these URLs:
http://209.133.47.12/
http://209.133.47.19/
http://209.133.47.69/
http://209.133.47.200/
However when you get there, none of the links from that page will work.
No one here knows what is happening or when it will be fixed.
We hope to hear from Mike some time soon.

Firstly - I could not get forum rules to open so forgive any transgressions-www.spywareinfo.com has been unavailable for a few days.

Why can't we do something to these on-line terrorists, I mean why can't we invent a thing these spywares will "pick up": and when they take it home to mama "boom" goes their motherboard or their server, you know what I mean. OK Maybe that won't work, so Why can't we identify their site addresses, that has to be do-able when they steal our stuff, our information, why can't we trace it. Or set up fake "PC's" that are designed to do that, follow them home, and then use collaboration of members to smash them to pieces with data overload?
Or maybe locate their physical locations, and then give that info out. That way, someone who lives close by might stop in and ask them to stop. In a nice way. you might use a tire iron, not a gun, you know what I mean.
So Why do we just lie here and take this crap from those on-line terrorist pigs?
Tell me why.
and
Thanks - I am really not as evil as I may sound, but do I hate these guys alot.
I do not need your help yet, but soon I surely will. Because I do go on-line....
I bet it will turn out that one of them smashed the website. Wanna bet?
Lots of Love ;D

Keep in mind that one of the worst worms floating around on the internet and infecting computers everyday was a vigilantes effort to fight back against the Blaster worm... The attempted cure was as bad or worse than the disease.....
We will continue to try to find legal means to stop these parasites...
The main thing that individual users can do is educate everyone you can to use good security, NEVER buy a product advertised in a SPAM message or popup or any other intrusive way of advertising... If people stopped giving the scumwriters money for their efforts they would find other ways to steal from people and leave the internet alone.... They are here because it makes them money.....

The way this DDoS works is that they control literally thousands of PCs with a trojan on each. The trojan sends perfectly normal HTTP 'get' requests, exactly the same request that is sent when a legitimate user opens a post to read it. The multi-millions of requests arriving in the same seconds simply overwhelm the server. Why can't we do something to these on-line terrorists, I mean why can't we invent a thing these spywares will "pick up": and when they take it home to mama "boom" goes their motherboard or their server, you know what I mean.
Also, we don't think that the present trouble is due to the DDoS attack, which Mike had been successfully coping with ever since May. It seems probable that Mike is now having some other sort of server trouble.

And I may be mistaken, but I wouldn't be surprised if he also had the site running on a Linux.
Anyway, site needs to mirrored somewhere.... like Merijn's site... that would help no?
I think the site needs to be mirrored, but not in a fancy way. Just like... text + links, and nothing more. No jpg's or gifs, but plain Text. that would provide a backup. and a low space backup too.
Whatever, I'll cya'll later

3rd hurricane on the trot, that must be an experience. We don't get storms like that in England. But we all still complain, whatever the weather.
