was cleaning a neighbors computer yesterday, and found out
that he had the PRORAT trojan. got instructions on what to
look for and how to remove the stupid thing, but when i went
to edit the registry, about half of the entries under
HKLM/Software/microsoft/windows/currentversion were
missing. everything after OptimalLayout was not there.
Okay, how does that happen. what is the key that hides
that from me?
think i have totally cleaned his machine with ewido and a
couple of other programs, but not understanding just how
part of the registry can not be there............
