The last three times I have used Spybot S&D it has locked up on me. I'll hit the "check for problems" button and it will begin it's scan. Everything scans normal until it hits (2957/5858:C2.lop) As soon as it hits this Spybot basically locks up. I try to close it out and nothing happens. So I hit Control, Alt. , Delete and have to close it out his way. Anyone know what could be causing this? It locks up at the same thing every time. :wtf:

A freeze, or a big slowup, was a somewhat common problem in Spybot SD 1.2, but you should be running 1.3 now. There will be no more updates for 1.2.

See Spybot 1.3

If you're already running 1.3, then you may get more help in the excellent SSD forum - see the link in my signature, below.

Yeah, it was probably just takign awhile to run that part. Just run it and come back later. If it is still thier over a period of time, don't know what to tell you

I experienced that same problem (hanging at certain times). But as Stondale said it was probably taking awhile. Even in task manager i would get not responding but it would go back to running shortly after.

Everything scans normal until it hits (2957/5858:C2.lop)

5858 definitions !!! That must be one outdated SSD
They are currently at 16000 plus definitions...

Deinstall it & get 1.3 & update it before scaning :bounce:

Failure is not an option, it comes bundled with the software.
