My F-Secure anti-virus has reported several Trojans and Exploits that it can do nothing with. I tried the trial version of TrojanHunter, and it repeatedly declared my pc clear of Trojans. If T.H. isn't going to be effective, what else can I use?

Are you sure your not getting false positives? Have you tried posting a Hijackthis log in the Malware Removal forum? Have you tried any of the free online virus scanners for another opinion? Some other programs you could try are

TDS-3 http://tds.diamondcs.com.au An Anti-trojan with 30 day free trial. One of the best available.

Ewido http://www.ewido.net/en Free Anti-trojan.

A2 http://www.emsisoft....n/software/free Another free AT.

I also have tried Trojan Hunter & experienced the same problems. I just recently removed several threats from our PC. I had three trojan files that on 3 different occasions Trojan Hunter was supposed to had removed. I end up having to use a special cleaning utility from TrendMicro Housecall(don't have the URL) but you can find it here on the forums(search). You'll have to read the entire info on what steps to take to get rid of these files. The process is called systemclean.com from their site but you have to go through specific instructions to run this cleaning tool. I run this tool one time & all three trojans were gone & haven't come back. :)

These comments give me a sense of False Security, however, I have been using Trojan Hunter for awhile now and it is removing the Trojans as far as i know as i tried TDS after and they were not there???

And both Programs have good reviews, strange???

Just my 2 cents, Regards
