Restoring Wondows 98

As most of you know, windows does not have System Restore as in later versions ME, XP etc.
I have found that if you start in DOS prompt command, type regedit/restore it will give you a selection of the last 5 or 6 starts ups. pick one that worked.

hope this helps anyone who has got the same problem that I had

Also useful if Windows will not start is to use the Win98 startup floppy ( you did make one didn't you??) and at the command prompt, enter "scanreg /restore. That is the "correct" command, but the one you gave works as well.
Be wary of strong drink. It may make you shoot at tax collectors, and miss!
