I am concerned that I keep getting spyware objects appearing when I run Ad-aware. I have loaded Spyware Blaster & Guard which I thought should prevent this kind of thing but they keep reappearing. The details are as follows :

Object Type:MRU RegReference
Location:...\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\recentdocs\
Comment:list of recent documents opened

Comment:list of recently saved files, stored according to file extension

Comment:list of recent programs opened

Comment:last download directory used in microsoft internet explorer

Comment:most recent application to use microsoft direct X

Object Type:MRU FileReference

Comment:list of recently opened documents using microsoft office

These all appear every time I surf whatever sites I go on.

I assume it is Microsoft poking their nose into peoples computers or some other controlling body, trying to see what people are up to. I object to this.
I clean up my registry etc regularly with Ad-aware but these things keep reappearing.

I would like to know what they mean & how I can prevent them reoccuring each time.
What is your advice?

The MRU lists, are lists of the Most Recently Used files on your PC. THese lists are maintained so tha an application can "remember" what files you opened recently, and find them again quickly if needed.

IF you open, for example, Word, and click on the file menu, at the bottom of the window is a list of the files you opened last. Mast Windows applications behave in a similar manner.

These lists are not sent anywhere, and are only a security risk, if someone else has accesss to your computer, and there are entries in the lists that could be embarrassing!

AdAware will purge these lists if you want to, but there is not really any reason to, if you are the only user.
Be wary of strong drink. It may make you shoot at tax collectors, and miss!
