There isnt an "email problems" section :( so I have a email problem ill post in here... I have a .wmv file that is 23,443 KB, I am trying to email it to my friend but everytime I do I recieve an "unable to deliver" message. Is the file to big? Is it something to do cause its a wmv file? I cant figure it out. If it is to big (which I think) how can I get my friend to view it if i cant email it to him?

Moving this to PC Troubleshooting.

One possibility is that your email ISP doesn't permit that kind of attachment. Zip it up and send the .ZIP file. Some ISPs don't permit sending .ZIP files though, so if that doesn't work, rename your file to be a .TXT file, and tell your friend he will need to rename it to .WMV.

I think you probably hit the nail on the head.
There aren't that many ISPs that are going to let a 23mb file through e-mail.

Try what cnm suggested, but you may need to find an alternate way to send it. Throw it up on a website briefly and give your friend the address so they can download it or something similar.

Thanks, NullWolf - I misread that as 23 KB. :weee:

Most ISPs have a 4 MB limit on attachment size.
If you can't put it on a web site, burn it onto a CD and mail it.

You could probably FTP this if you have a web host or make it available on a server for others to download via FTP.

Good day!

Sarcasm?

You can use any ftp client if your web host can act as an ftp host. A popular one can be found here: http://www.ipswitch....s_ftp/index.asp

Google for ftp tutorial gets you lots of material - read some of these:

Your sig currently contains this, which I can't make head or tail of.

What is the actual URL of the .JPG you want?

I belong to a very similiar forum for PC issues at -

http://main.thatcomp...s/modules/news/

They have the exact same forum layout and my sig works on there just not on here...its weird..maybe this forum has more strict permissons for sigs and stuff
