HI.

First of all I am using Win XP home.

The other day when I went to launch IE it would not start at all. My cursor turned into the hourglass for just a moment and then back to an arrow. And when I reboot my machine I get the message about the program iexplore.exe has to shut down. I can click "end now" but may lose all data. Well, I click "end now" and the process repeats 3-4 times before the machine shuts down. In safe mode I can use IE and in normal mode can use mozilla or opera. It was suggested to me I should use hijackthis so I did, but does this sound like highjacking to anyone in this forum? I am running my anti spyware (Giant) now and have the hijackthis log should I have to post it. Where do I post it if Giant antispyware does not work?

Thanks!

My internet explorer will not start when I click it's icon or the "iexplore.exe" icon in the Program FIles/Internet Explorer directory. I tried the fixes posted in newsgroups and on the microsoft web site but nothing is working. When I try to reinstall IE I get a message that the version on my computer is newer than the one I am trying to install and the install aborts. When I posted on usenet it was suggested I post my hijackthis log here. Hopefully someone will see something in this file that will help me.

Get Registry Mechanic 5.0

People please, just stop saving money!!! :!: For a mere $80-100 dollars a year it will save you hours of time. And since a lot of people make more money during that time, I suggest you just go get it!

Sorry that wasn't directed to you personally, but I was actually refering to my parents, who keep uninstalling Spy Sweeper every time I download it because they think it slows my computer down. Which it does NOT!
