Hi all
Newbie non-techie here. Before i reformat my hardrive on my XP Home with recovery discs, i want to save IE SP1 and NAV definition updates files/folders that have accumulated over the years onto cd.
Can i please ask where do I find these folders. Curiously, IE SP1 is not in my Add/Remove panel, which is puzzling, but must be somewhere else. I tried Search, but not clear as to what files i need.

Why are you considering reformatting? Its really a measure of last resort, considering the hassle in re-configuring, reinstalling everything, not to mention you're losing the Service Packs as you mentioned. If you downloaded it then installed, it may not be there anymore, particularly since no rollback option is appearing in your Add/Remove Programmes dialogue.
After all is invested in correctness, then how does it stand with truth?
