Hi guys...

I used the free ZoneAlarm firewall before but it always had a problem and a window kept popping up randomly, saying TrueVector Service had encountered a problem and needs to close. After uninstalling and reinstalling a couple of times and still experiencing this frustrating problem I decided to switch to Sunbelt's Kerio Personal Firewall 4.

So far I'm not having any problems and it works fine, but my only gripe is how can I get it to autostart on startup? The shield icon doesn't appear in my system tray automatically, I have to manually go to start firewall...any ideas?

Thanks!

BTW, I'm using the latest version of Kerio.

Right click the icon in the system tray, select Administration, then Miscellaneous. My Kerio is 2.15 but I assume yours is somewhat similar - check the item indicated in the pic:

My Kerio is 4.3.268.0 (free 30 day trial), but when I right click the icon there's no Administration option. The closest thing to it is Configuration, I've looked everywhere for a load at startup option but can't find anything.

I installed the 4 free trial as an experiment. It loads automatically as a service:
O23 - Service: Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall 4 (KPF4) - Sunbelt Software - C:\Program Files\Sunbelt Software\Personal Firewall\kpf4ss.exe
You don't need to configure it.

You should see its icon in the system bar bottom of page at the right of task bar. It looks like a shield.

You're welcome. :)

Right click on the icon to get a little menu if you want to bring up the user interface, maybe to look at the logs etc..
