We are still working on sorting out the SSL situation - many thanks to Rocket Grannie for that.  The forum seems to be working as usual in the meantime and further updates will be posted as needed.  We may still run into some glitches, but hopefully we will remain accessible as we sort them out.

Update and apology.  We had an SSL certificate installed to improve security for logins on the site and this resulted in locking us down to the point that no one could access the site to do anything other than look.  I was not able to sign into our Admin Control Panel, so I couldn't do anything to correct the problem either.  I worked with the new host to resolve the issue and they had said they couldn't do anything, but this morning I got instructions from them to go to the Admin CP and I was able to do so, as well as posting on the site again.  They offered no explanation, but I see that we no longer have the SSL certificate, so I suspect they somehow removed it.  I will continue to work with them to find out more about what happened and how to fix it so that we can have that extra security and still use the site.  I apologize for the problem.  I attempted to post an update several times, but I could not do so.

In Topic: How Many Firewalls Installed

SA is designed to provide the helper with information about what protections the user has on his/her computer...  That means that it is helpful to know what firewalls, antivirus programs, anti-malware programs and so on are installed...  Additionally, it is helpful to know if a number of points of vulnerability are installed and updated - such as Java...  SA is not really intended as a tool for an end user to run and analyze, although it is reasonable for some people who understand it to use it to see if their protection programs are up to date...  The actions recommended by the helper would depend on the presenting problem and the overall configuration of the computer...  If SA indicates that Defender is there, but not active, the main question becomes whether or not some other protection is active...  There are any number of possible approaches to whatever is revealed depending on the individual situation and there really isn't one simple answer to your question because of that...
